Employees are the ones who manage their EPF accounts with the Employees\u2019 Provident Fund Organization, also known as EPFO. For the convenience of members, EPFO has introduced an e-passbook to check their account balance. EPF e-passbook is an online record that shows the employer and employee\u2019s contribution to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanakkupillai.com\/learn\/how-to-merge-two-or-more-pf-accounts-online\/\">EPF account<\/a> being maintained. In this blog, we will show you step-by-step instructions on how to download your EPF e-passbook.<\/p>\n<h2>Steps to Download the EPF E-Passbook<\/h2>\n<p>Follow these simple steps for downloading your EPF e-passbook,<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1: Visit the EPFO Member Portal<\/h3>\n<p>The first step is to visit the EPFO Member Portal website. Open a web browser and go to the official EPFO website (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfindia.gov.in\/site_en\/index.php\">https:\/\/www.epfindia.gov.in\/<\/a>). By searching through the homepage, the \u201cFor Employees\u201d is typically displayed on some part of the web page, and therefore, one will have to click on it. Then select the \u201cMember UAN\/Online Services\u2019 option next.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2: Log in to Your EPF Account<\/h3>\n<p>When you are on the EPFO Member Portal, you will be asked to log in using your UAN (Universal Account Number) Password.\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">You need to activate UAN to avail the benefits of the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanakkupillai.com\/payroll-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Payroll<\/a> system. The \u201cE-Passbook\u201d or \u201cView Passbook\u201d option is typically found under the \u201cServices\u201d category; once you have located it, click on it.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 4: Verify Your Details<\/h3>\n<p>After deciding to check on the e-passbook option, you may be required to undergo a credibility test. This may include, for instance, typing your registered mobile number and then receiving an OTP for confirmation. This step needs to be completed with ease; find out whether your mobile number is registered with your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanakkupillai.com\/learn\/update-epf-account-details-new-streamlined-procedure\/\"><strong>EPF account<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 5: Download the E-Passbook<\/h3>\n<p>This verification takes a short time, after which the EPF passbook will be made available to you.
