Click on the ‘Apply’ option under the Change or Correction in the PAN Data section.
Now, a form will appear on the screen. Fill out the form with all of the essential information pertaining to you, including the necessary information to change your name.
You must include your PAN details in the form and only tick the cell in front of your name.
– After entering all of the information, click on the ‘Validate’ button to check for any problems or errors that might have occurred in the form or details filled.

Changing Name on PAN after Marriage Using Offline Process

  • The applicant must apply using the Request for New PAN Card or Modifications in PAN Data form, which differs from Form 49A and Form 49AA, for corrections in the PAN database or requests for the issuance of a PAN Card.
  • Fill in all of the details in the mandatory fields of the Form for PAN data modifications or corrections and, if necessary, select the corresponding box on the left margin where revisions are needed.
  • The address for communication will be updated in the ITD (Income Tax Department) database by utilizing the address supplied by the applicant in the application form to change or correct PAN data or reissue a new PAN card.
  • The original PAN will be retained, and you will be issued a new PAN card with the correct database to update or correct any errors in your PAN details.

Things You Should Not Do While Filing the Name Change Requirement in PAN

– Do not overwrite or correct anything in the Form.
– Don’t sign in a manner that goes outside of the box.
– If you are holding a PAN already, then it is advised that you do not apply for a new one.
– In the first and last name fields, do not ratify.
– Don’t provide any more or additional information, such as a birthmark or a job title.
– Do not provide POA, POI, or PODB that are not in the applicant’s name.

General Instructions

– Fill out the form in black ink and bold letters only.
– Write your ten-digit PAN number exactly where it is necessary.
– The photograph must be 3.5 cm* 2.5 cm in size, and this should be taken care of.
– The photograph should not be stapled or clipped, but rather stuck in place using glue.
– The signature or left thumb impression must be placed across the attached photo in such a way that the signature or thumb impression is visible on both the photo and the Form.
– Within the area on the left side of the Form, provide your signature or left thumb impression.
To make adjustments or corrections to a PAN Card, the applicant must fill out all the essential information in the form and check the appropriate box on the left margin in the corresponding row.
– If necessary, include the right AO code in the application.
– Include a complete postal address with a proper landmark in the application.
– In the address field, include the right PIN code. To generate an OTP and track the status of your PAN Card, provide your correct phone number and e-mail address.
