The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is the primary method of retirement planning for employees in India, as the amount assures the monetary stability of an employee in his/her post-retirement period. Employees are the ones who manage their EPF’s Employees Provident Fund Organization, also known as EPFO; for the convenience of the members to check their account balance, EPFO has introduced an e-passbook. EPF e-passbook is an online record that shows the employer and employee’s contribution to the EPF account being maintained. Steps to Download the EPF E-Passbook

Step 1: Visit the EPFO Member Portal
The first step is to visit the EPFO Member Portal website. Open a web browser and go to the official EPFO website (https://www.epfindia.gov.in/). By searching through the homepage, the “For Employees” is normally displayed at some part of the web page, and therefore, one will have to click on it. Then select the “Member UAN/Online Services’ option next.
Step 2: Log in to Your EPF Account
When you are on the EPFO Member Portal, then you will be asked to login using your UAN (Universal Account Number) Password. Step 5: Download the E-Passbook

This e-passbook will show other details on your account, such as your current balance, the employers’ and employees’ share for the contribution and interest that has been credited. You can view the passbook for the current year on the passbook for the previous years. To download it, you just need to click on ‘Download’, and your EPF e-passbook will be available on your Windows or mobile device in PDF format.

Go through the following steps if you experience some problems downloading your EPF e-passbook directly. First of all, you have to check if you are active on the site and if your UAN is associated with your details.
